What is a Sloka?

A Sloka (Sanskrit: श्लोक) is a poetic verse or hymn in Sanskrit, the ancient language of India. These sacred compositions have been passed down for thousands of years as a means of preserving and transmitting spiritual wisdom, devotion, and philosophical insight.

Chanting slokas is believed to purify the mind, invoke divine grace, and create positive vibrations that benefit not only the chanter but all living beings around them. They form the backbone of Hindu prayer, ritual, meditation, and daily life.
